Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2026, at 15:00 UTC, when Sony shuts down all server support for the game. Multiplayer is already gone. The PS5 exclusive was pulled from the PlayStation Store on May 26, and the single-player modes that are left run on borrowed time until late November. After that, Arcade Mode may still load, with conditions.

Sony posted the notice on its decommissioned servers page and sent it to owners in May, as Polygon reported. It is a short statement. Sony appreciates "the support and enthusiasm of the Destruction AllStars community," and that's the whole eulogy.

The countdown

  • May 26, 2026, 14:00 UTC: Destruction AllStars and its virtual currency, Destruction Points, removed from sale on the PlayStation Store.
  • Already done: Multiplayer on PS5 is offline "due to ongoing technical issues" and Sony says it is "no longer available." It isn't coming back.
  • Now through Nov. 25: Single-player modes stay open to existing owners. Destruction Points can still be spent in them.
  • Nov. 25, 2026, 15:00 UTC: All server support ends. That's 8 a.m. in Phoenix and 10 a.m. Eastern.

Reader questions

Can I still play Destruction AllStars? Yes, if you already own it, but only the single-player side. The in-game notice spotted in May reads, "Multiplayer services for Destruction AllStars have been taken offline." For a multiplayer destruction derby, that leaves a much smaller game.

What happens after Nov. 25? Sony says Arcade Mode single-player challenges "shall remain playable for returning players, however functionality and player experience may be impacted due to the server shutdown." Everything else goes offline. Sony hasn't said what "impacted" means. Assume some things will break.

What about my Destruction Points? Spend them before 15:00 UTC on Nov. 25. Sony says points you already own can be redeemed "within available single-player modes" until then. Sony's statement doesn't mention refunds, and you can't buy more points anyway.

Can I still buy the game? No. It has been off the PlayStation Store since May 26. If it isn't in your library already, it won't be.

Is there a PC version? No. Destruction AllStars was a PS5 exclusive, so there's no Steam page and no backup on another platform.

How we got here

Destruction AllStars was one of the first PS5 games Sony announced, shown in 2020 at the event where the console was unveiled. It was supposed to be a launch title at $69.99. A few weeks before the PS5 came out in November 2020, Sony delayed it to February 2021, cut the price to $19.99, and gave it to PlayStation Plus subscribers as a monthly game. It launched Feb. 2, 2021.

The free copies didn't save it. Polygon notes the game holds a 62 critic average on Metacritic and a "generally unfavorable" 4.9 user score, and only 10% of critics on OpenCritic recommended it. The common complaint was light content and heavy microtransactions, which is a tough sell when Rocket League was also free to PS Plus members.

The developer, Lucid Games, was founded in 2011 by former Bizarre Creations staff. It made Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions and has worked as a support studio on Rare's Sea of Thieves. Destruction AllStars joins Concord on the list of Sony live-service games that didn't last.

Bottom line

Destruction AllStars loses all server support on Nov. 25, 2026, at 15:00 UTC. Multiplayer is already dead, the store listing is gone, and Arcade Mode may stagger on afterward in some reduced form. If you have Destruction Points, spend them before Thanksgiving. For the rest of the year's closures, see our 2026 shutdowns list.
