Disney Pop Town shuts down October 28, 2026: last days, ruby refunds, and what happens to your town

Disney Pop Town ends service Oct 28, 2026 at 11:00 JST after seven years. Downloads and ruby sales are already gone. Here's the refund process and the deadline.

Disney Pop Town has three days left. WEMADE PLAY's match-3 town builder ends service at 11:00 a.m. Japan time on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. That's 7:00 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, October 27, in case you planned to log in for one last puzzle Wednesday morning in the US. You'd miss it.

The game launched worldwide on October 23, 2019, so it gets about seven years and five days. A separate Korean version, launched in February 2020, closes at the same moment.

What's already gone

WEMADE PLAY announced the shutdown on August 27, 2026. Per 4Gamer's report of the notice, two things stopped that same day:

  • Paid item sales. You can't buy rubies anymore.
  • New downloads. The app came off the stores. If it isn't installed now, it isn't getting installed.

Existing players can keep playing until the end. WEMADE PLAY didn't give a reason for the closure. Korean outlet 4th Journal notes the company had previously pitched Disney Pop Town as one of its signature global hits, which is a familiar line to read in a shutdown story.

Can I get a refund for rubies?

Partly. Refunds cover paid rubies only. Rubies you earned from events or rewards are excluded. The request window runs from the August announcement until the shutdown itself, so the deadline is October 28, 2026, 11:00 JST.

The process is not a button. According to 4Gamer, overseas players need to send support:

  • the game name and your SUPPORT ID
  • your country
  • the account holder's name and address
  • bank name and branch, SWIFT code, bank address, and account number
  • a screenshot showing your account and remaining paid ruby balance

WEMADE PLAY also asks players not to delete the app until the refund is complete, since the screenshot and ID come from inside it. Refund timing will be communicated separately. Details are on WEMADE PLAY's support center.

If you have a few dollars of rubies sitting there, weigh that against handing your bank details to a support inbox for a game that's closing. That's your call. If you have a lot, the deadline is real.

What happens to my town?

It goes away. There's no offline mode or save export in the announcement. 4Gamer reports that personal data tied to play will be deleted within seven days of the shutdown on the Japanese side; the Korean notice says domestic data is destroyed immediately.

Is anything replacing it?

Nothing announced. Disney's mobile puzzle catalog isn't short on options, but none of them are this one, and your 100-plus costumes don't transfer anywhere.

Same week, same mood

Disney Pop Town isn't the only cute mobile game leaving this week. Dengeki Online's roundup for October 26 to November 1 also lists DMM's Legend Clover (October 29) and Hello Kitty World 2 (October 31, 23:59 JST). It's a rough week for pastel.
