Thursday, Oct. 23, 2026. Assemble Entertainment is removing Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry and Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice from the Steam Store that day. After that, you cannot buy them there. If you already own them, your copies stay in your library.
The publisher said so in a Steam news post for Wet Dreams Don't Dry: Larry is "getting ready to hang up his leisure suit," both games are only available until Oct. 23, and then they "will be removed from the store." The advice is blunt: "Get them now or never." Assemble also said it "can't share anything about his future."
The countdown
- 2025: The older Sierra Leisure Suit Larry games (1–7; there was never a 4) and Magna Cum Laude left Steam.
- Oct. 9, 2026: Assemble announces the Wet Dreams pair will leave Steam on Oct. 23, with a 95% discount live.
- Now through Oct. 23: Both titles sell on Steam for about $1.99 each in regions where the sale is active (also reported on GOG and Switch at the same deep cut).
- Oct. 23, 2026: Steam store listings for both Wet Dreams games go away.
Reader questions
Can I still play them after Oct. 23? Yes, if you bought them before the delisting. Steam ownership does not evaporate when a store page closes. You just cannot buy new copies on Steam after that date.
Why are they being removed? Assemble did not give a reason. Press coverage points at licensing: the IP has been tied to Codemasters (now under Electronic Arts), and Assemble's distribution rights may be ending. That is inference, not a statement from EA or Assemble.
Is the whole series gone from Steam? Effectively yes once Oct. 23 hits. The classic games and Magna Cum Laude already left. Box Office Bust has not been a normal digital storefront staple either. GOG has been the holdout for older Larry titles; the Wet Dreams Steam notice does not by itself settle every other storefront.
Are they offline single-player? Yes. These are adventure games. Delisting only stops new purchases. Nobody is switching off a server. You are not racing a shutdown clock for multiplayer.
Should I buy on Steam or GOG? Steam is convenient and currently dirt cheap. For long-term "I still want a storefront that sells Larry," GOG has been the safer shelf for the older games — and the Wet Dreams discount has shown up there too. Assemble's wording does not promise a return anywhere.

How we got here
CrazyBunch made the Wet Dreams revival. Don't Dry launched Nov. 7, 2018; Dry Twice followed Oct. 23, 2020 — so the sequel is being pulled on its sixth anniversary, which is a coincidence with a sense of humor. Metacritic's PC score for Don't Dry sits at 72, which is fine for a series that spent the prior decade as a punchline.
Then the rights weather changed. Last year's classic delistings cleared most of Steam's Larry aisle. This month finishes the modern wing. The publisher's "now or never" line is the useful part; the rest is silence about who holds the keys next.
Bottom line
Wet Dreams Don't Dry and Wet Dreams Dry Twice leave Steam on Oct. 23, 2026. Owners keep playing; new Steam buyers are out after that date. At 95% off, the window is short and cheap. For the year's actual server funerals, see our 2026 shutdowns list.
