Moonlight Blade M Global is closing. Publisher VNG Games posted an official service termination notice dated October 20, 2026: servers go dark on November 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM GMT+7. Top-ups and store listings already stopped that same October morning. If the game is still on your phone, you are in the final stretch. If it isn't, the reinstall door is closed.

Is Moonlight Blade M shutting down?

Yes. The Global version operated by VNG Games ends on a fixed schedule. From the notice:

  • October 20, 2026, 10:00 AM GMT+7: Maintenance and top-up services closed. The game was removed from the App Store and Google Play.
  • November 20, 2026, 10:00 AM GMT+7: Official server shutdown. The game ceases operations.

That leaves a one-month play window after the store pull — long enough to finish a few more sect adventures, short enough that nobody should be planning a new alt. New downloads are already impossible. Spending money is already impossible. Logging in on an existing install still works until the November cutoff.

What was Moonlight Blade M?

Moonlight Blade M is a mobile oriental / wuxia MMORPG — the Global build of a martial-arts MMO line better known in Chinese markets, localized and run for international players by VNG Games on moonlightbladem.vnggames.com. The termination notice thanks players for "the past two years," which is the publisher's own framing of how long this Global run lasted. Open-world sects, lightsaber-adjacent wire-fu combat, and the usual mobile MMO checklist of dailies, fashion, and gacha cosmetics.

When a live MMO shuts down, there is rarely a meaningful offline mode waiting underneath. Character progress, guilds, housing, and inventory all sit on the publisher's servers. After November 20, those servers stop answering.

Can I get a refund?

The official notice does not say. It does not outline a refund window, a store credit, or a claim form. It does not tell players to contact Apple or Google. If you spent money close to the October 20 top-up cutoff and want to try your luck, that path runs through your app store's standard purchase dispute process — not through anything VNG spelled out in this farewell.

Do not expect a graceful "cash out" of leftover premium currency. The notice treats the wind-down as a schedule, not a settlement.

What to do before November 20

  • Keep the install. The game left the App Store and Google Play on October 20. Delete it now and you cannot put it back.
  • Burn the rest of your currency if you still care about cosmetics or convenience items. After shutdown they convert into nostalgia and nothing else.
  • Screenshot characters, guild screens, and fashion loadouts you want to remember. Nothing in the notice mentions account export or transfer to another title.
  • Plan for 10:00 AM GMT+7 on November 20. That is the hard stop. After that, login screens will fail the way every other shuttered mobile MMO fails.

VNG's Game Operations Team closed the notice with gratitude and a farewell. For Global Heroes, November 20 is when the sect hall empties for good.
